They also use their skills to assist clients with other information-intensive problems such as achieving regulatory compliance and understanding customer behaviour.

This is backed up with over thirty years’ experience of developing solutions to some of the most complex security problems. Their business and technical consultants offer a range of core services from strategy formulation through people and process change to the development, delivery and support of software and hardware technology. My client delivers projects of significant scale across government and commercial markets in the UK, US and continental Europe.

Within the Utilities sector, my client provides a range of services from defining customer journeys through to specifying and delivering Business Intelligence solutions and establishing customer retention and loyalty initiatives.

Additionally, they provide security related services, specifically in relation to cybersecurity and smart metering. The company works with several of the major UK Energy & Utilities companies.

Their services include:

• Information and security compliance — addressing data and cyber security threats and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Data management, strategy and business intelligence — ensuring data is securely maintained, enhanced and leveraged to maximise returns
• Next-generation analytics — turning complex data into actionable intelligence
• Customer experience — developing exceptional customer journeys across all channels and products
• Customer relationship management (CRM) — generating and using customer intelligence to optimise customer interactions
• Business transformation — delivering substantial and lasting change to your business
• Smart metering — securing and drawing insight from smart meter data.
• Demand forecasting — improving demand forecasting, efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

We are seeking ambitious individuals with experience in the UK Utilities sector and a proven track record in one of the following disciplines:

• Data Consulting and Analytics
• Information Security & Assurance

All consultants must have excellent client-facing skills; you will be expected to have theoretical as well as practical experience. This will have involved working closely with Senior Managers within client organisations.

Responsibilities

• Delivering projects to clients as part of a multifunctional team

• Supporting development of new differentiated propositions

• Development of new business as a result of successful project delivery, as well as new business (depending on the seniority of the candidate)

The Individual

• Good communication (verbal and written)
• Experience within a top-tier Consultancy
• Experience within the UK Utilities sector, i.e. retail/supply-side, within energy distribution networks
• Knowledge of key developments within the energy sector such as Smart Metering/Smart Grids and commercial awareness on their likely implications
• Existing contacts within the Energy and Utilities sector
• An ability to network within a client and identify new opportunities in which to sell the company as a solution
• Track record of structured thinking and solving business problems
• Candidates will have strong academic backgrounds, with a minimum 2:1 degree.
