It is important that a full understanding of the cost estimate and all design elements in connection with metallurgy, geometries, tolerance chains, lubricant systems and production processes are reached.

The success criteria is to ensure reliable and cost-
efficient bearing solutions that is validated theoretical and through extensive test programs.

Participating in project teams for specific NPD turbine projects.

Document reliability- and robustness of your design through FEM analysis and HALT test programs.
Conduct physical lifetime test; Writing of test plans, including test methods and follow up on test data.

Implementation of your designs in Supply Chain through well described processes and controls
Mechanical engineering disciplines
Fine element analysis, ANSYS or similar
Knowledge of applicable standards
Risk Assessment of heavy and high loaded parts
Bachelors/masters Degree in mechanical engineering. Experience with large rotating machines
Experience in product design for high availability. Experience in value engineering.
Ability to coach/teach graduate entry engineers
Experience in technical liaison with supplier base
As senior engineer, you will be responsible for generator main bearings and bearing concepts for new product development.
