Job Description:  

Essential Responsibilities

• Promote HW product portfolio within his area:
Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED):
-Substation Automation
-Transformer Monitoring and Diagnostics (M&D)
Power Products:
-Capacitors (Industrial & Utility Units)

• Develop marketing / account plan per country / product range to
-Drive growth based on a coverage / gap analysis
-Give feedback to P/L on market needs / interface with P/L
-Grow customer base

• Give product presentations at customer site, on fairs, Organisations-seminars and other related events

• Create, communicate, and execute sales/growth strategies and well-defined action plans for each assigned customer and key product/service offerings

• Create Go-To-Market plans for the given territory and take the lead following these through to complete all activities required.

• Develop new customer accounts and grow business volume with existing customers

• Achieve order, sales and margin targets as well as budget commitments and contribute to the regions plans with several counterparts

• Participating directly in the sales process working with other functions to develop sales strategy and bids. Create and drive deal specific tactics.

• Proactively educate and influence customer businesses through financials, specifications, product approvals

• Identify key customer and business issues so as to incorporate them into growth plan to capture and expand Organisations market share

• Providing feedback regarding market trends, pricing and competition to Commercial operations and P&L

• Provide win/loss data for as many opportunities as possible

• Customer calls and meetings, customer presentations and executive level selling and alliance relationships

• Develop and maintain executive level customer relationships

• Leveraging customer relationships

• Maintain and grow the companies presence in the market of the given region

• Use of reporting tools, especially for forecast, with responsibility for the accuracy


Qualifications/Requirements

• Electronic or Electrical Power Engineering background, bachelor degree or equivalent

• Solid relevant sales experience (power generation, T&D utilities, industry)

• Experience of managing sales channels, local partners, distributors and value added resellers.

• Selling of both complex monitoring & control solutions and products (substation automation, M&D) and electrical power products (eg. capacitors, transformers)

• Sound background on automation systems, communications and control systems

• First-class verbal and written communication and presentation skills in both English, Germany and ideally additional “regional” languages

• Evidence of successful sales experience or significant customer interaction on industry related product solutions

• Customer orientated/ Growth mindset. Must be able to generate immediate credibility on different levels externally and internally. Ability to develop key customer relationships and to promote win-win sales strategies

• Proactive work style, creativity, energy. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a distributed, pan-European sales structure

• Self-starter with high energy level is key to success in this position

• Excellent negotiating & closing skills

• Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationships / team building

• Effective team contributor and member

• Change management mindset

• Willingness to travel between 70 - 80% of total work time
