My Client is seeking a Smart Grid Project Manager to direct projects implementing our software solution for electric, gas, water and wastewater utility clients.

Job Description

The individual will oversee projects of varying magnitude in terms of complexity, cost, time constraints, internal and external staffing, equipment, and software technology. They will provide direction to project teams, including assignment of individual responsibilities, tasks, and technical functions. They will also identify needs and allocate appropriate resources to complete specific project tasks on time. They should continually monitor progress by project and task to ensure specific deadlines are met. They will perform technical project tasks, provide technical consulting to individual clients, and lead data design sessions to adapt off-the-shelf components to meet the specific requirements of our users.

Company Project Managers must be self-motivated, flexible and able to learn new technologies and processes as these become important to our business. Duties may include management of multiple simultaneous projects involving different software technologies.

They will occasionally provide technical sales and proposal support as directed.

Travel domestically and internationally, about 30 to 40%,will be required.

Position Requirements

A BS/MS degree in CS, Engineering or Geography (or related field with computer emphasis).

Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills as well as client relations experience is a must.

Project implementation experience in a utility environment.

Technical experience in implementation of other utility engineering software solutions such as Outage Management Systems (OMS), SCADA, Distribution Management Systems (DMS), Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and/or Engineering Analysis (EA).

Technical experience implementing or using ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcFM, or related components is a plus.

Experience managing projects involving integration between multiple enterprise software products.
