Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the rotating equipment content of a project including gas compressors (Variable speed drive and GT driven)
• Technical leadership
• Team leadership/management
• Management of man hours to budget
• Management of work scope to schedule
• Adherence to quality requirements
• Preparation of equipment requisitions, specifications, data sheets, bid tabulations, FAT’s/SAT’s data schedules
• Review vendor calculations
• Make technical recommendations
• The ability to work as part of a team, producing mechanical engineering deliverables to schedule and within man hour budgets
• Quality and safety of designs
• Adherence to codes, standards and regulations
• Interdisciplinary design interface
• Communication of information to teams
• Coaching members of staff
• Develop/update internal standards/specifications/procedures

Knowledge / Experience
• BSc/BEng MIMechE (or equivalent)
• A working knowledge of mechanical engineering subjects relative to engineering contracting
• Extensive rotating equipment experience, in particular VSD and GT driven gas compressors
• Extensive of working within a contract engineering environment
• Good knowledge of construction materials
