Function/Purpose
To manage the project Design Development and Integration of the Electrical and Control Engineering activity, encompassing the basic and detailed design development.
Ensuring that the design is in accordance with the specifications and associated standards, rules and regulations.

Through the application of effective leadership and management, to ensure Project Management objectives are achieved in the Electrical Engineering disciplines of the Program.

The management of electrical stakeholders both internal and external/subcontractor.


Tasks to be Performed
• Managing (planning, organising, leading and controlling) the function and staff assigned to achieve the agreed outcomes within the delegated authorities and responsibilities, and more specifically the direct management of the Electrical Project Engineer.
• Providing the appropriate direction, coaching, support and delegation to individual team members and the whole team to enable them to achieve the work objectives.
• Monitoring the progress of in-house and subcontract electrical engineering, and logistics engineering activity to ensure program objectives are achieved.
• Undertaking the more critical aspects of customer liaison with respect to performance expectations of electrical aspects of the project.
• Ensuring the effective identification, delivery, receipt, acceptance and onward processing and configuration management of outstanding vendor design data.
• Ensuring the documentation and ongoing control of the established system development baselines, through the Configuration Systems.
• Assuring the engineering efficacy of any systems development required for investigation or through Contract Change Proposals through the exhaustive application and documentation of Requirements Engineering, System Functional Breakdown (including associated specification hierarchies) and Systems Interface Management disciplines undertaken by the project.
• Assist/support the Commissioning Team with preparation and execution of the Completions scope.
• Reviewing and accepting test results.
• Assisting in establishing a process of System Design Review to facilitate progressive sign-off of system changes.
• Assist in Developing procurement specifications for Specific E&I equipment and reviewing vendor proposals.
