ROLE DESCRIPTION (HVAC & Building Services Engineer)

Mission :

Perform technical tasks assigned by the Project Specialist Leader, related with design, verification or study activities.

Interface with other Project Specialists and Designers.

Co-ordinate technical activities performed inside or outside the Company.

Tasks :

A - Development Technology know how & Commercial support

B - Feasibility

C - Bidding phase / Commercial proposal development

1) Assist PRT with technical Commercial offers

2) Review/Clarification/Qualifications of feed technical documentation

3) Discussion with client/meetings/communications

4) Responsible as HVAC representative

D - Project Execution

1) Reviews Client's technical documentation and requirements.

2) Maintains project technical files

3) Controls of subcontracted HVAC and other building services engineering documents inside or outside SAIPEM group.

4) Sets up and executes assigned engineering activities such as detail design, verification and studies relevant to any engineering topic associated to Discipline, coordination with other disciplines requirements and inputs in pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimisation in term of costs, fabrication simplicity and safety.

5) Prepares design specifications for Heat, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems, and coordinates the design for other buildings services systems such as electrical, telecommunications, fire and gas detection, fire fighting inside buildings.

6) Develops calculation notes for dimensioning of HVAC and other building services.

7) Develops functional layouts of HVAC and other building services.

8) Prepares system performance and material spec.'s for HVAC and other building services.

9) Prepares MTOs and BOQs .

10) Prepares S.O.W. (responsibility matrices) and technical specification for HVAC and other building services construction subcontracts and assists the procurement dept. in the technical evaluations.

11) Prepares technical documentation for HVAC material requisition and provides technical evaluations to the procurement dept.

12) Supervises/Approves HVAC and building services design and constructive drawings.

13) Implements discipline follow-up activities.

14) Implements field engineering activities.

15) Assistance with QC inspection activities notably fats and string tests

E - Construction & start up

1) Assist in field engineering activities

2) Support construction personnel as required

3) Issues the part of the REX in accordance with the scope of piping material section after contract completion

4) Collect project feed backs for continuous improvement implementation (Lesson Learned)
